To quote Sargeant Shultz: “I know nothing.” I’m changing web hosts, I’m new to WordPress, and I’m not very digital. I expect I’ll be using WP 4.61 because I can’t imagine a competitive host NOT using the latest version. I need some advice on themes. My site will be of two parts: first, a list of links which will grow daily by several links, and which will be replaced every month by a new page, but the old page will simply become Page Two and will not the current one; and the second part will be a blog, probably twice weekly. The site will be simple, with no images, but I want the colours, textures, and script to have a good and refined appearance.
So: of the free themes available, are there any which can be recommended? Or, is there any particular search criteria I can use to find suitable theses, or is there a particular category or place to look? Finally (for now:) can most themes be colour-customized? If so, that may greatly increase my options. I envision a simple arrangement with good texture, colours, and shades. Thank you.
