I’m pretty new to WordPress, but I had to edit the code on this because I couldn’t find any other way to fully secure my site. It seems the author decided to not properly support SSL. Calls to Google Fonts shouldn’t use archaic, Google discouraged, http, instead of either https or protocol relative links. Removing “http” from the first line of jquery.newsviewer.css allows correct loading of the Fonts
