Language Defaulting to English on next/previous month selection

Using plugin version 4.4.2
The plugin is translated into Spanish for display on the website.

When clicking on the previous/next months, the language is switching back to English.

For example, the calendar defaults to February 2017. When I click “enero” the following is added to the URL: /2017-01/

However, the text all changes from Spanish to English. If I click the back button, it goes back to the /eventos/ slug we have setup for the default calendar page, however, it is now in English too.
